How to Choose the Perfect Blush

How to Choose the Perfect Blush

What is the reason for blush? Blush makes your face glow….it brightens up your face and can even make you look less tired.

There are so many options and colors though. So, how is a girl to choose? How do you know which one is the right one for you?

For starters, you should be aware of your skin tone.Β  Once you have that down, you’re ready to start working on your blush color.

If you have a chance, look at yourself in the mirror after you go for a run or workout? What color are your cheeks? That is your natural β€œblush” color.

So, let’s start with ivory and light skin tones. Soft pink is a great choice for you.

Olive skin tones should have a warm undertone. These colors are spice colored. These colors are rich so it shows up and looks amazing on your skin.

Ebony and bronze skin tones should use a color such as apricot because it gives your skin a healthy glow. However, you can be more dramatic with your color choices and use something with a red tone to it for dramatic flair.

The point of blush isn’t to look like a china doll with pink circles, but to give your skin a β€œglow” that makes you look healthy and alive! So experiment with your options and find the one that makes you look amazing!

Molasses Cookies

I'm all about the healthy stuff. But, this time of year I have to pull out a recipe that my family LOVES. Once a year isn't going to hurt a thing. πŸ™‚

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Beat the sugar with the butter, egg and molasses. Add the dry ingredients to the bowl. Preheat oven to 375. I scoop them into 1 tablespoon size balls and bake about 8-10 minutes. This will be personal preference. Some people like them chewier, and others like them crispy.

Recipe Notes

I hope they are enjoyed in other homes as much as here. πŸ™‚

Pumpkin Spice Latte Shakeology

Pumpkin Spice Latte Shakeology

It’s that time of year again. That time when pumpkin flavors everything from crackers to coffee. This is my favorite time of year though, so I have to say that I embrace everything pumpkin.

With my love for cafe latte shakeology, it just seemed a no-brainer that I would make a pumpkin spice latte shakeology. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Insanity Max 30 – week 4- tabata strength

Another late workout today. This week has been completely off my normal schedule! It would have been sooooo easy to blow off my workouts! 😬

But you know what? I’m super proud of myself that I didn’t. I got it done! πŸ’ͺπŸ˜…

Remember that feeling when you don’t feel like getting it done…remember how you feel when you finish. That’s a pretty awesome feeling! ❀❀

Have a great night! πŸ˜˜πŸ’‹
